30 Days of Kink: Day 18

DAY 18: PET HATES.
Any kinky/BDSM pet peeves? Any thing you particularly dislike or that annoys you? If so, what are they?

BDSM is not a rigorous discipline. There are no rules that apply to every practitioner.
It tires me to no end when I hear people giving self-important lectures about what the protocol is and how one ought to conduct themselves.
The propagation of stereotypes in the form of an all-knowing drone screaming down at me from a pedestal annoys me to no end.
Submissives must kneel.
Dominants are stoic.
Titles are define respect.
Love destroys a d/s relationship.
Just a few examples.

It is just like India’s approach to social development projects; take one model and arbitrarily  apply it to every community. Doesn’t work like that. Even D/S or M/S relationships are, at the end of the day, relationships. What works for one couple, may not work for another but that certainly does not mean they are doing it wrong.
Submission is in the mind, how it manifests itself in practice depends on the individual.
Something we ought to respect.

  1. “What works for one couple, may not work for another” is such a vast territory to be covered in itself! A relationship normally itself is so different to what most people try and live in their respective lives and when you add BDSM, it just changes the dynamics to no end! Try and imagine a mistress who gets tongue tied while letting her wishes known to her submissive when the submissive can’t really make out what’s really required… in just this instance, the amount of work required from both ends is tremendous and what may ensue from their efforts will remain unknown even to them till they think they can stop! Or will they ever stop? Or want to? Good topic though!

  2. I’m so happy to hear your view on this.
